A dog’s health needs do not pause during deployment. PawMed™ helps coordinate veterinary care for service members’ dogs before, during, and after deployment, supporting their health and continuity of care while their people are away.

From wellness exams and vaccinations to unexpected illness, injury, or emergency treatment, PawMed™ helps foster families access the veterinary services dogs may need throughout their placement. Operation WarDDawgs™ remains involved, helping coordinate care, communicate important health information, and ensure medical needs are not overlooked during transitions.

 

By connecting service members, foster families, and veterinary providers, PawMed™ offers another layer of support and reassurance. Service members can focus on their responsibilities knowing their dogs’ health and well-being remain a priority throughout their deployment.

PawMed™ support is tied directly to the service member’s active deployment. At this time, PawMed™ services end when the deployment ends and do not extend to post-deployment veterinary coordination, treatment, or ongoing medical care.
