OPERATION HOMECOMING

Because Coming Home

Deserves a Celebration.

Celebrating the Reunion Between Service Members and Their Dogs

After months apart, the moment a service member is reunited with the dog they love deserves to be remembered. Operation Homecoming helps mark the end of deployment and the completion of each Operation WarDDawgs™ placement with a thoughtful, joyful welcome home.

Each homecoming celebrates the bond that remained strong throughout the separation while recognizing the foster family who helped make the reunion possible. Photos gathered during deployment can become a keepsake album, while a welcome-home certificate, new bandana, paw-print keepsake, and personal note from the foster family help preserve the story of the dog’s time in care.

Every dog and every reunion is different, so homecoming details can be tailored to the family and handled with the dog’s comfort in mind. Whether the moment is quiet and personal or shared with others, the goal is the same: bringing a military family back together and honoring everyone who helped along the way.

Operation Homecoming May Include

  • A personalized Welcome Home certificate

  • A new bandana for the returning dog

  • A paw-print keepsake

  • A photo album documenting the dog’s time in foster care

  • A personal thank-you note from the foster family

  • Thoughtful coordination of the reunion moment

Every placement begins with this moment in mind: the day they are finally together again.
